I have read much about the power of visualization and manifesting our thoughts. So, today I put these readings and principles to the test.

Today, I visualize with a clear intention for full manifestation and calling upon support from God with gratitude that:

All those who have not been listened to are listened to. And, the evidence that they were heard is in the end of police brutality, the end of unequal systems, the end of oppression, the full realization of all people being equal and being treated equally.

My visualization coach would tell me, that is a good start. But, be specific, be clear. Okay, let’s try this again:

Today, I visualize that the violence ends.

Today, I visualize the peaceful protestors are safe and protected. I hear their voices and I cheer them on. I see their important messages being received and heard. I see their stories on our media and their examples being followed.

Today, I visualize the rioters who are acting out of trauma and rage being healed. A light of compassion and love shines over them and all their rage is released in a healthy way, with no damage or harm to themselves, to anyone else, or to any property or thing. I visualize them being safe and protected as they leave the areas, cease their activities, and go home. I see them being held fully accountable for their actions.

Today, I visualize the agitators of the violence and destruction having a change of heart. I see the drivers of the vans or whatever vehicles turning their vans/vehicles around and leaving the areas in peace. I see the organizers of such agitators telling people to go home. Instead of their lust for power, disruption, and violence, they now seek compassion and wisdom. They leave the protests and the neighborhoods they are threatening; they go home; they release any pretense, rationale, or justification for their violence. I visualize them being safe and protected as they leave the areas, cease their activities, and go home. I visualize the agitators being held fully accountable for their actions.

Today, I visualize the opportunists who are seizing upon the riots to stop. I see them dropping the bricks and turning around to go home. They stop manipulating the situation for their or their group’s power or gain. I see them taking this time as an opportunity to examine themselves and their actions. I visualize them being safe and protected as they leave the areas, cease their activities, and go home. I visualize the opportunists being held fully accountable for their actions.

Today, I visualize the police, soldiers, and national guard putting down their batons, their weapons, their shields, their rubber bullets, their tear gas. I visualize them being safe and protected as they do so. I visualize any fear, adrenaline, trigger-happy sensations, anxiety being replaced with confidence, wisdom, and compassion. I visualize them de-escalating situations and providing safety for the protestors and for themselves.

Today, I visualize peace and reform.

Today, I visualize that the causes of the violence, the systemic policies and practices of racism and inequalities are removed and people’s hearts change from ones of dividing fear and hate to ones of connecting love, compassion, and wisdom.

Today, I visualize that in each community, the police chiefs and mayors are setting up meetings with protestors to discuss their concerns, to listen to them – their experiences, their pain, their losses, and their ideas for change. I visualize that these protestors feel heard and are engaged in meaningful dialogue carving out solutions. I visualize that these meetings are genuine and filled with compassion and wisdom for all involved. I visualize that these meetings are the realization of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream “…that the sons [and daughters] of former slaves and the sons [and daughters] of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood [and sisterhood].”

Today, I visualize that the police departments throughout our nation implement community policing where police officers respect the members of the community and the members of the community respect the police officers and where police officers are safe and not under threat. I see trainings on non violent communication, mediation & de-escalation of violence that are effective, well received, and implemented. I see that bias and racism are uncovered, healed, and not tolerated. I visualize police officers who are in violent, high pressure, combative situations getting the support they need to heal their trauma so they may be healthy as individuals and part of healthy and effective community police force. I visualize that all people, black lives, brown lives, white lives are equally safe in the presence of, and equally treated by, all police officers.

Today, I visualize friendships formed between people of all colors. With these friendships, I feel understanding, compassion, empathy, and solidarity. With these friendships, I see changes of heart and healing of generational wounds. With these friendships, I see genuine acts of love and kindness being shared. I see Dr. King’s dream of “little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.” fully realized. I see flourishing friendships where our respective colors may be noticed with respect and love, and where judgment, bias, or prejudice whither and disappear.

Today, I visualize community events, book clubs, dances, sports, games, retreats, sit-ins, art shows, plays, marches, meditations and more where people of all color are connecting, sharing, laughing.

I see parks full of thousands of people of all colors in silent meditation and prayer.

I see events where rows and rows of tables are set up for black people, brown people, and white people to sit across from each other guided by facilitated and healing conversations. I see hundreds and thousands of us looking in each other’s eyes and saying: “I know you. You matter to me. I stand with you. I love you.” I see these table conversations taking place in coffeehouses, libraries, parks, and communities across the nation.

I see the world’s largest heart circle where thousands of people of all colors – black, brown, white – stand across from each other, with one hand holding the hand of the person in front of them, and one hand on their heart. With no words, I see us look in each other’s eyes, moving from person to person. With each person, I see us offering love, compassion, and understanding. With our eyes, we say, and in our hearts, we feel, “I know you. You matter to me. I stand with you. I love you.”

I visualize a day when Black Lives Matter fully, when Brown Lives Matters fully, and equally to white lives. On this day, we truly are “we” and this is when we can simply say All Lives Matter to include all of us. Today, I see people understanding why we can’t say that now and release their anger or offense at the declaration that Black Lives Matter, Brown Lives Matter, People of Color Matter.

I sit. I visualize.

As I see these things, I feel peace.

As I see these things, I feel camaraderie.

As I see these things, I feel restored.

As I see these things, I feel gratitude.

As I see these things, I feel love.

I sit. I visualize.

And, I trust with gratitude that I am guided to do my part and to take inspired action toward the full manifestation this vision.

I invite others to hold this vision with me.
